African Caribbean Citizens Forum reports about BHM 2002 in Rapport Magazine:
Since its inception the Leicester African Caribbean Community Achievers Awards has grown from strength to strength. On Saturday 30th November 2002 the fourth event was held once again recognising 12 individuals from Leicester’s African Caribbean Community, been selfless in their actions and gone beyond the call of duty.

The event has become one of the biggest on the event calendar and has become a true community occasion, as local business and organisations sponsor awards.

The event this year was a partnership between the African Caribbean Centre and the African Caribbean Citizens Forum and was kept flowing in the capable hands of the comperes Ivan Brown and Pauline Matturi. Councillor Maggie Bodell-Stagg attended the event.
